Best plastic like substitute?

I dropped my machete and the handle broke. the handle was made out of plastic but the metal is amazing because it dos not chip like most. how should I got about fixing the half that broke off, the machete is a slid piece of metal with the plastic held in with screws on both sides the screws are still attached but about forth of the plastic chipped off.
