Isn't there Lawyers to help a Mentally Challenged young woman with custody case for her newborn with ex boyfri?
Daughter 33 years old, her first encounter with a boyfriend and now a baby. Baby was a preemie, born 2 months early. My daughter is very independent yet has been with special services all her school life and also is with DDD (Department of Developmental Disabilities. Facing Court with ex boyfriend who has an Attorney, yet they wouldn't allow me (her Mother) to sit with her for support, they made me and my mother go out of the Courtroom. Daughter didn't have a chance, I feel due to circumstances she was victimized. I have Power of Attorney but didn't help me to stay in with her. This was only an Order of Protection hearing so no big deal right now. But paperwork for The Response to the Custody etc paperwork due in a number of days, then a Resolution Hearing being schedules as well as whatever that Attorney comes up with. I am a single Mother with a very limited income and my daughter is on SSI. Can anyone PLEASE HELP DIRECT US TO SOMEONE THAT WILL HELP HER NOT BE VICTIMIZED. WHEN YOU MEET HER SHE IS SO QUIET, LOVING, CARING AND A BEAUTIFUL PERSON. SHE DOESN'T DESERVE ANY OF THIS. Thank you
