Where the heck do peeps get these turtles from?

Okay, I've been heading to different flea markets and everywhere i turn theirs always a stand with some baby turtles in a plastic container selling them.. Like seriously they have so many of em. So i was just wondering where the heck they are getting them from? Like seriously isn't that like bad?
