Thoughts on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

Until about a week ago I was completely on the side of Israel. The world definitely does a good job of victimizing the Jews. However, I have been learning more about the issue and how when Israel was created after WW2 they drove the locals from their homes. On the other hand it was the Jews who owned Israel long LONG ago and were driven from their land. But if you want to go that far back you can claim that the Jews took the land of Caanan from Jericho. Who do you guys think the victim is in the situation? Personally I don't think there is one however, due to all of the hate brought onto the Jews I believe giving them their land back is the right thing to do.. however, the Palestinians cannot suffer from the faults of their forefathers who took the land long ago. Anyway, thoughts?
