Why is CPS doing this?

CPS workers are sometimes uneducated but not always, they will tend to allow their personal biases interfere with rational thinking. Your friend may be very persuasive and has convinced the person that you are the one at fault and could have very easily indicated drug use along with firearms in order to protect himself, your best option is to move and get out of the abusive relationship before it cost you custody of your child. !
